Placements through fathers death

I had called my friend who did engineering with me two years back.

Who is working in a IT Company.

They told me that in our batch only few got selected in Infosys placement  held at our college on 2007.

They had been on the conculsion that we have been selected since we had lost of father.

I asked them, do you think the hr in corporate company will look all these aspects too for selecting candidiates to there multi crore company.

They had replied that, i have mentioned my father name as Arjunan (Late) in answer paper and i have been given more marks for answers .

Even in hr round, they told i had been selected only for courtesy that i dont have father.

Do anybody have any acceptance to it, and i will leave my comment after some days looking for an good comment on this blog.

    Its completely depend upon the HR, and his Personal character,human behavior…. we cant conclude candidate will get selected if he lost his father…

    Some HR may consider these aspects only for courtesy, but the fact is candidate knows well how he got selected…

    My opinion is HR should not consider these aspects for a ineligible candidates… we should not take our father as influence in such a case..

    The above mentioned fact is unacceptable…
    Though i dont hav much experience abt HR s.. i will say like.
    HR will look only at the talent and skills of the person in which their company needed and not the above mentioned aspect..

    Looking at your skills.. it may be some positive and even some negative..
    So that HR – he/she attended, may concern this as acceptance and helped the candidate to pass the interview.

    Dear Acumens,

    HR should concentrate on the welfare of the employees after the recruitment not before the recruitment.

    HR’s are expertise in Background and underground works but the un knowledgeable people may use the tragedy scene to settle in life..

    Let’s see the others thoughts…

    Of course the HR is also a normal human bring. They may have some courtesy over physically handicapped students, students who don’t have parents or wealth.
    But this is acceptable under only one condition.
    If 2 students performed equally well and they have to pick one means, they can consider their courtesy over the particular student to select. Otherwise it is not acceptable.

    If i am a HR, i will do this only !

    If He is Perfect HR ( Human Resource ) means , He looks For Candidate Talent and Skills, not consult With only Family Background…..

    I do not understand, how come i got some meaningless responses.

    If a HR is soft, will they consider even the family situation.

    If the HR looks the family situation of all candidates he face.

    Sure the HR family situation will be meaningless.

    Think it once.

    Hope Majority of peoples placed in Infosys where having parents.

    In this Fast Moving World No one talks abt others family…infact there’s no time for all such discussion.That Too in such Top MNC’s this never happens..Being a Graduate of HR i strongly say that the Sentiment factor in Recruitment is no longer existes in the present Scenario..Its your skill and attitude that matters

    Guys wake up, this is no movie for sentiments. In fact I don’t even think that the HR would have noticed the “late” mentioned beside the name. Infosys is the place where one would fit only with skills and attitude not with a late father.
